A rare storm driven winter visitor and despite hoping to get a photograph of one of these tiny torpedoes I have been unsuccessful until 12th November 2010 when one dropped onto the estuary in front of me and 2 other lucky birders.The bird was only cooperative for a few minutes before it flew off inland. I have also been kindly supplied some fantastic artwork and notes of an individual also seen from the shaft beach at Severn Beach on the memorable day of 25th November 2009 by Phil Baber.
