2006 Avon Year Listing Blog
Avon is no longer a County but it still exists as a recognised bird recording area. A bit like Marmite and Brexit, you love it or hate it but is still there. My last attempt was way back in 2006 and I could not have achieved my personal total without great help in particular from Paul Bowyer and many other active local birders who informed me of birds to try and see. It certainly gets you out to all corners and edges of the border. Here are some links to my monthly sightings. For some strange reason I have lost the January and February pictures but there are plenty of good birds to read about get the juices flowing.......
